Open Letter To October
1 October 2025

Dear October,
Welcome to a new dispensation, or should I say, thank you for this new dispensation. You usher us into the double, and we are excited to receive you. Our excitement may not be all you expect; however, we are privileged and grateful to see you appear.
When we see you, we know there is a lot to be done. We see you, and we begin to rush with our plans and agenda. Your appearance brings urgency. Your appearance raises many questions without explicit answers. You make us check our days and question our work.
You assess our works, our purpose and our assignment. You bring us joy clothed in counsel, retreat and consciousness.
At your appearance we rush with plans; we start creating new plans and making diverse analyses and assessments on what needs to be done. We never take a break to monitor our environment. We never take a break to look ahead. We never look around to see the various attacks and battles fleshing out since the beginning of the year. We have filled our thoughts with so many plans, the urgency of finishing tasks, the decision to be on top of our game, the assessment of the now, and the planning of the future to come.
But, at your appearance, the battleground is set for many. When you arrive, men ought not to be dormant but vigilant. When you sound your alarm, men must not be distracted by their unnecessary plans but be directed by purpose and fight for its fulfilment. By your appearance, we ought to arise, fight the battles, win and enter into a new dispensation, ever ready to walk the walk of purpose and be ready to stand. At your coming we ought to see the many plots and schemes prepared and sent for our distraction and failure. At your appearance, we ought to be wise, walk in the spirit and bear the fruits of the Spirit. At your appearance we should know who we are and be walking that part.
You are here, and we are grateful. We ask that you open our eyes, Lord, to see what we ought to do. Direct our steps, speak to our hearts, endow us with wisdom, make grace available and, above all, show us mercy. Help us make the needed a priority and not the necessary. Help our eyes to see beyond our sight. Help us fight these battles. In our excitement, make us wise. May we not unknowingly be attacked and fall into pits plotted against us. Help us to give you our all without overthinking it. Help us, show us mercy, and help our unbelief. Even in doubt, may our answer always be yes.
October, Help us walk in the spirit daily. Holy Spirit, be our guide, and may we not be blinded by our pride, ego, strength and intelligence. May we see you and know you. Work out that which needs to be within us, and make us the exact product and person the Lord ordained us to be. Heal our hearts, heal our thoughts, cause us to believe and make us the vessel you want us to be. Help us walk in Love, Peace, Joy, Patience, Kindness, Goodness, Faithfulness, Gentleness and Self-control.
October, be you and help us walk the right path with the right mindset. Welcome, the second 'ber' and not the second 'ember'. Thank you for giving us the pause within the 'embers' to redirect our thinking and our actions.
With Appreciation,
Me.
